Phil Whyman's fascination with the paranormal began at the age of just 16. What started as a curiosity about the unexplained developed into a lifelong passion for investigating the strange, the mysterious and the seemingly inexplicable.
Now, four decades later, Phil has spent 40 years exploring reportedly haunted locations, listening to extraordinary accounts and seeking answers to questions that continue to intrigue and challenge us.
His journey eventually took him into television, where he became known to audiences through the internationally recognised paranormal series Most Haunted, appearing in numerous episodes and live investigations.
Phil subsequently continued his television career as presenter and director of Are You Haunted?, combining his passion for paranormal investigation with his experience in television production. Across multiple series, he and his team have explored fascinating locations, examining their histories, reported activity and the experiences of those who have encountered something they cannot explain.
But for Phil, paranormal investigation has never been solely about television.
Throughout his career, he has also enjoyed sharing his passion with members of the public, welcoming people into atmospheric locations and giving them the opportunity to become part of an investigation rather than simply watching one unfold on screen.
Now, after almost eight years away from hosting public ghost hunts, Phil is returning.
Through Phil Whyman Ghost Hunts, he's once again opening the doors to some of Britain's intriguing historic locations, inviting guests to join him and his investigation team for an evening exploring the unexplained.
Whether you're a seasoned paranormal enthusiast, a curious sceptic or someone experiencing their very first ghost hunt, Phil believes the most rewarding investigations are those approached with an open mind, a sense of curiosity and a willingness to question what we think we know.
And after 40 years, that curiosity is as strong as ever.
